I’m Julian Fernando Castro, born in the 90s and raised in Chicagoland. I grew up in the suburbs and the city. In the year of 2016, I decided to start writing songs and rapping. I began performing at open mics at DePaul University, where I went to school.
Since then, I’ve kept performing, making music, and networking. I started deejaying 3 years ago, just messing around with some friends. Eventually, I got gigs to DJ for open mics, parties, and concerts. I’ve been active as a DJ ever since, picking up momentum and getting my name out there.
My skills as a rapper, singer, performer tie directly into how I DJ because I’m comfortable interacting with the audience and hyping up the crowd with my voice and the music. As the DJ for a concert, I support the performer by mixing the music, adding effects, and backup vocals. As a DJ for a party or event, I spin all types of music including hip-hop, dembow, reggaeton, cumbia, house music, etc. If it’s family-friendly, I’ll throw on the pop songs we all love. In general, I play great music and adapt to the vibe of the setting that I’m in. I have solid mixing skills and provide smooth transitions between the songs.
As a music artist, I love making songs. I rap and sing about life, emotions, the things going on around me and inside my head. Music is something I do for fun but it also therapeutic. I just want to share with the world the things I create, leave a positive impact, and spread joy and happiness. Also, I would love for music to be my full-time, all day, everyday occupation. So let’s see what happens…
Thanks for stopping by,
